Questions about
booking campsites?

Everything you need to know about finding available campsites, cancellation scans, AgentBook, and reservations at state and national parks.

Getting Started

4 questions
How does Arvie work?

Arvie does three things no other service does in one place:

  • Search real-time availability across 4,700+ state and national parks — see what's open, what's sold out, all on one map.
  • Book available campsites directly through Arvie with zero added fees. Your reservation goes into your park account.
  • Catch cancellations at sold-out campgrounds — our live agents book the spot for you the second one opens.

Start for free. No credit card required to search or start a scan.

Do I need an account to use Arvie?

You'll need a free Arvie account to see real-time campsite availability, book available sites, or start a cancellation scan. It takes under a minute to set up and no credit card is needed to get started.

Which campgrounds and parks does Arvie cover?

Arvie covers 4,700+ campgrounds and 269,000+ campsites across state and national parks in the United States and Canada. We connect to all major booking systems:

  • Recreation.gov — all National Parks, National Forests and federal campgrounds
  • ReserveCalifornia — California State Parks
  • ReserveFlorida — Florida State Parks
  • ReserveAmerica — state and private campgrounds across the US
  • Plus 32 other state and private campground booking systems

All of these are searchable in one place on Arvie — no need to check each site individually.

Is there an Arvie app?

A dedicated iOS and Android app is coming soon. In the meantime, Arvie works fully in your mobile browser — search, book, and manage your cancellation scans from any device.

Searching & Booking Available Sites

4 questions
How do I find and book available campsites on Arvie?

Search any park, campground or region on Arvie. You'll see real-time availability across every campground in the area — what's open, what's sold out, and what you can scan for. If sites are available, book directly through Arvie. Your reservation is placed in your own park account — Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia, ReserveFlorida or whichever system the campground uses.

Are there any booking fees?

Booking available campsites carries no added Arvie fees. You pay only the campground's standard rate — no markups, no platform charges.

For cancellation scans: AgentBook scans are free to start — you only pay the flat $19 AgentBook fee if we successfully book a cancellation for you. Alert Me scans cost $5 per scan to start. Arvie Pro members pay zero fees on everything.
Can I search for last-minute or holiday weekend campsites?

Yes. Arvie shows real-time availability so you can always see what's open right now — including last-minute openings and holiday weekend availability. If your dates are sold out, start a free AgentBook cancellation scan. Cancellations happen every day, especially in the days before a trip, and Arvie scans every 2 minutes to catch them.

Can I filter by RV size or hookup type?

Yes. Arvie includes RV rig and site filtering so you only see campsites that actually fit your setup — length, hookups, pull-through, site type. This applies to both availability searches and cancellation scans, so your AgentBook scans only match sites compatible with your rig.

Cancellation Scans

6 questions
What is a cancellation scan?

A cancellation scan watches for openings at a sold-out campground for openings on your behalf. Campsite reservations get cancelled every day — people's plans change, and when they cancel, that site becomes available again, often for just seconds before someone else books it.

Arvie checks for those openings and either alerts you so you can book yourself (Alert Me) or has live agents book the spot for you (AgentBook).

Is it free to start a cancellation scan?
AgentBook scans — free to start. You only pay the flat $19 fee if we successfully book a cancellation for you. No booking means no charge.

Alert Me scans — cost $5 per scan to start. You receive a text alert when a site opens and book yourself.

Arvie Pro members pay zero fees on all scans and bookings.

What is the difference between AgentBook and Alert Me?
  • AgentBook — live Arvie agents book the cancellation for you the second it appears. Even at 3 AM, on holiday weekends, when you're completely offline. 65% win rate. Flat $19 only if booked. This is Arvie's exclusive feature — no other service does this.
  • Alert Me — you receive an instant text and email the moment a site opens. You then book it yourself on the park's site. Costs $5 per scan. Cancellations disappear in seconds at popular campgrounds, so you need to be fast.

For sold-out state and national parks — especially during holiday weekends or peak season — AgentBook gives you 22× better odds than alert-only services.

How often do cancellation scans run?
  • AgentBook (free account) — every 2 minutes, 24/7/365
  • Alert Me (free account) — every 10 minutes
  • Arvie Pro (all scans) — every 1–2 minutes
How many scans can I run at once?
  • Free account — up to 5 active scans simultaneously
  • Arvie Pro — up to 20 active scans simultaneously

Running more scans across multiple campgrounds significantly improves your chances. Arvie users running 5+ scans book at nearly 4× the rate of single-scan users.

How do flexible dates scans work?

Flexible dates scans let you set a date range instead of exact dates — Arvie scans for any available cancellation within that window. This increases your chances significantly by covering multiple trip options at once. Scans for trips between 2–5 nights have the highest success rates.

AgentBook

5 questions
How does AgentBook work exactly?

You start a free AgentBook scan for any sold-out campground. Arvie checks for cancellations every 2 minutes, around the clock. The moment a site opens that matches your criteria — dates, site type, RV size — our live agents complete the booking in your name using your saved park credentials. You get a confirmation notification. The entire process takes seconds.

This is why AgentBook has a 65% win rate at sold-out parks — by the time an alert reaches your phone and you act on it, the site is often already gone. AgentBook skips that step entirely.

What does AgentBook cost?
Free to start — $19 flat fee only if we book it.
If Arvie doesn't successfully book a cancellation for you, you pay nothing. The $19 covers any length of stay — one night or five nights, same flat fee. Arvie Pro members pay zero AgentBook fees on every booking.
What are my odds of getting the campsite?

AgentBook has a 65% win rate at sold-out state and national parks — and gives you 22× better odds than services that just send you an alert. Your odds improve further if you:

  • Run multiple scans across different campgrounds in the same area
  • Use flexible dates to cover a range of arrival dates
  • Upgrade to Arvie Pro for 1–2 minute scan speeds
Does AgentBook work for last-minute and holiday weekend bookings?

Yes — and this is where AgentBook is most valuable. Last-minute camping reservations and holiday weekend cancellations at popular state and national parks disappear in literal seconds. There is no realistic way to compete manually. AgentBook's live agents are watching 24/7/365 and act faster than any human could.

Why doesn't AgentBook book a site when I get an alert from another service?

Other alert services notify you when a site opens — then the booking is on you. Arvie's AgentBook skips the notification entirely and goes straight to booking. The difference is significant: the most in-demand sites at Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia and other systems are re-booked within seconds of opening.

If you received an alert from another service, the site was likely already gone before you could act. AgentBook removes that bottleneck completely.

Your Reservation

4 questions
Is the campsite reservation actually in my name?

Always. When Arvie books a site for you — whether an available site or a cancellation — it uses your credentials on the park's own booking system. The reservation appears in your account exactly as if you booked it yourself. No middleman. No Arvie reservation number. Your name, your account, your booking.

This applies to all systems: Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia, California State Parks, ReserveFlorida, Florida State Parks, ReserveAmerica and more.

Can I modify or cancel my reservation?

Yes. Because the reservation is in your name in your park account, you have full control. Modify or cancel directly through the campground's own system — Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia, ReserveFlorida, or whichever platform was used. Standard park cancellation policies apply. You can also email our support team and we'll help.

Why do I need to complete my profile?

Your Arvie profile stores your park account credentials and booking preferences securely. Arvie agents need these to book campsite cancellations for you instantly — there's no time to ask when a site opens at 3 AM. The more complete your profile, the faster and more accurately AgentBook can act on your behalf.

What if something goes wrong with my booking?

Arvie Pro

4 questions
What is Arvie Pro and what does it include?

Arvie Pro is an annual subscription for campers who want the best possible odds at sold-out campgrounds — and zero fees on every booking. With Arvie Pro:

  • Zero AgentBook fees — every cancellation booking, every trip, forever
  • All scans run every 1–2 minutes — faster than the free 2-minute AgentBook and 10-minute Alert Me speeds
  • Up to 20 simultaneous scans — vs. 5 on a free account
  • Zero high-demand campground surcharges
  • 24/7 live agent support — real people, fast responses
How much does Arvie Pro cost?
First year: $79 (normally $149/year)
Billed annually. 30-day money-back guarantee.
Is Arvie Pro worth it?

If you camp more than once or twice a year at popular state and national parks, Pro pays for itself quickly. After two or three AgentBook bookings as a free user you'll have spent close to or more than the Pro first-year price — with Pro you pay nothing on any of those bookings. Add faster scans, 20 simultaneous searches, and priority support, and it's a clear decision for serious campers.

How do I cancel my Arvie Pro membership?

Email [email protected] and we'll handle it promptly. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee — if you're not happy within the first 30 days, you get a full refund.

Account & Payments

3 questions
Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Arvie processes all payments through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant — the highest level of payment security certification available.

Why does Arvie ask for my park account credentials?

Arvie needs your Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia, ReserveFlorida or other park account login to book campsites in your name. This is what makes the reservation yours — it appears in your account, not Arvie's. Your credentials are encrypted and stored securely. They are only used to complete bookings on your behalf when you have an active AgentBook scan.

How do I contact Arvie support?

Email [email protected] or call/text (320) 331-8899. We respond same day or next business morning. Arvie Pro members have 24/7 live agent access.
